"Man is a part of a whole, the creation of an essence and soul
When pain is inflicted on one member, members remain restless
You who are not sad at the suffering of others do not deserve to be called human."
Saadi (Persian poet, * around 1210; † around 1292)
"What counts in life is not that we have lived. But how we have changed the lives of others."
Nelson Mandela
"No human being is born a political being; therefore, political education is a prerequisite for the existence of any peaceful society. The fate of a living democratic social order depends on the extent to which people ensure that the community is not damaged, the extent to which they are prepared to assume political responsibility for the well-being of the whole."
As responsible citizens in a free, democratic society, we have a primary responsibility to protect and defend democracy and freedom. The secondary responsibility in the human, ethical, and sustainable sense lies in the expansion of freedom and democracy throughout the world.
Why is the expansion of freedom, democracy, and the common good important and meaningful?
As a tourism professional with heart and soul who understands sustainable tourism as an economy of peace in harmony with the common good and as a global citizen who is actively committed to more freedom, peace, and democracy with all available resources, I am deeply convinced that we as humanity can only live and experience the pinnacle of a happy, collective life if we all live in freedom, democracy, peace, security, and prosperity and realize the common good in a sustainable sense.
Seeing, hearing, and knowing bring with them a responsibility in an ethical, human, and sustainable sense. The more we know, the more resources we have at our disposal, the more we live self-determined lives in freedom, peace, and democracy, and the greater our responsibility towards our fellow human beings, the environment, and the common good. The golden wisdom of the world-famous philosopher and teacher, Zarathustra, who lived over 3000 years ago, puts it in a nutshell:
"خوشبختی از آن کسی است که در پی خوشبختی دیگران باشد""
Happiness belongs to the one who seeks the happiness of others"
Let us use our democracy, our freedom, our security, our resources, our knowledge, our radiance, and our reach to give a face and a voice to the courageous people of Iran who are fighting for a life of freedom, security, justice, peace, and the common good.
The Iranian freedom and women's movement needs much more attention, much more visibility, much more resonance, and reach.
If you want to effectively support the freedom and women's movement in Iran, I can recommend the following actions:
1. you can participate in various petitions. The main source for this is change.org.
2. You can help to ensure that people in Iran have access to the free Internet. More information can be found at Snowflake.
3. IRAN REVOLUTION - GET ACTIVE!
4. International Society for Human Rights (IGFM)
